When i am still a kid, i used to pester my parent to buy me ice-cream. I remember every night an old man will ride his motorbike with a big ice-cream box attached to his bike. The ice-cream came in a long bar, he will then "Potong "-cut into about 4 to 5 inches long and poke with a wooden stick at one end when you place order.
Which is why you can now find this "Potong" ice-cream in the supermarket.
Nowadays you can still find people riding a motorbike selling ice-cream in the estate area but not as common as before.
The red bean ice-cream made with coconut milk was the most popular during the old days but it was most forgotten by the new generation.
To make it more interesting, i paired it with pistachio sponge m, glutinous rice with mango, Coconut Cream And Gula Malaka. Bon Appetit!
